Job Overview:
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for directing the strategic approach and market introduction plan for significant product initiatives within the organization, focusing on exclusive destinations and new ship launches over the next several years.
This role will require close collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the organization, including senior leadership, to gather essential insights on destination development and new ship constructions, enabling the formulation of a comprehensive marketing strategy based on critical milestones and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with relevant internal Operations teams to develop a roadmap of forthcoming product initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy and market communication plan. Act as the primary source for all product-specific information and messaging, staying informed about new product rollouts and launch timelines. This will involve cultivating a thorough understanding of the product pipeline, including new and updated exclusive destinations, new ships, and new experiences. 20%
- Oversee the integrated marketing strategy for all product milestones, including destination development for Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay, as well as new ship launches, including Excel 4 and beyond. This encompasses the creation of a communication strategy and framework for integrated campaigns to be executed across all relevant marketing channels. 20%
- Collaborate with product development specialists from the operations team, including senior leadership from New Builds, Food & Beverage, Entertainment, etc., to craft a compelling narrative and transform it into a messaging brief for internal teams to create marketing materials that support product launches. Ensure that the company's distinctive and ownable assets are consistently utilized across campaigns to reinforce the brand with our audiences, even when discussing specific products. 15%
- Lead the creation of assets that will serve as a foundation for the marketing team to support channel-specific initiatives. This process will involve developing thoughtful creative briefs that consider the production of assets for all channels, both owned and paid. Create foundational creative assets that can be adapted by individual marketing teams to support specific product milestones. Additionally, anticipate channel-specific needs to recommend optimal support and ensure all teams have the necessary visuals and messages. 15%
- Work with our creative agency of record to ensure that all product communications align with the broader company brand communication strategy and enhance the existing national plan in the market. This role will also involve collaboration with internal Creative Services to brief the team on key product moments requiring creative development and support across essential marketing disciplines. 15%
- Develop regional product support strategies as ships transition to new ports and enter different markets. Analyze the competition in those markets and collaborate with the agency (internal Creative Services or creative agency of record) to devise an integrated plan that introduces the new ship offerings to the target audience. Create a brief to guide the creative concept, considering key market objectives and desired consumer behavior. Plans may include paid media, necessitating collaboration with the media team to assess appropriate support. Manage the creative development of assets to be adapted across all channels. 15%
- Engage with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, through strategic discussions and decisions. The Manager will contribute to the guest experience via the Guest Experience Governance Board by providing consumer insights, category learnings, and more.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business
6+ years' experience working at an advertising agency and/or managing an advertising agency a plus. Brand or product management previous experience
Proven ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities.
Strong aptitude for building and nurturing collaborative partnerships across functions and departments.Demonstrated leadership skills, including managing direct reports with timely feedback on performance and regular touchpoints to review deliverables.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong planning, risk mitigation, and budget management skills.
Ability to present information concisely and confidently to senior leaders.
Capacity to multitask and deliver under pressure in a high-visibility role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Solid understanding of digital applications/platforms (examples: mobile, web, tablet, and social)
Knowledge of current and future trends in digital marketing and communications platforms and applications
Extensive expertise in developing effective advertising campaigns.
Familiarity with media and creative analytics and experience analyzing performance
Team player attitude
