Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst who resides in Oahu. Our client is a prominent player in the logistics and distribution sector of energy products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends in fuel and non-fuel sales.
  • Evaluate business performance, deliver insights, and propose solutions to enhance strategic and operational outcomes.
  • Support the retail team with data analysis and trend evaluation to inform business planning and tactical opportunities.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for retail analytics systems and software, including TAIGA data systems, P&L, and CMAP pricing data.
  • Develop tools, reports, and dashboards to assist the Retail team in tracking performance against established metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Facility, Maintenance & Safety Manager on data analysis related to R&M, compliance, and safety metrics.
  • Keep all business units updated on progress and challenges.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business and data analytics or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate openness to diverse ideas while being willing to explore new approaches.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, identifying and addressing issues promptly while gathering and analyzing relevant information.
  • Possess critical thinking skills, consistently seeking to understand business intricacies to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to evaluate information effectively.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, including integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality.
  • Work independently with a high level of motivation.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands and unexpected events effectively.
  • Maintain both automated and manual record-keeping systems.
  • Foster a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Plan and organize work activities efficiently, developing realistic action plans.
  • Promote and adhere to safety and security protocols, using equipment and materials responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid foundation in probability and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively.
  • Curiosity and passion for analyzing data to identify future trends and practical growth solutions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check, including periodic job-related physical abilities testing.
  • This role is safety-sensitive and requires random drug testing.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining or enhancing skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) within sixty days of hire.
  • This position requires in-person attendance and is not remote or hybrid.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $95,000.

Special Considerations:
