Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the machining department, including planning, assigning, and directing work to ensure that production goals are met.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary to prevent defects and improve overall quality.
  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, conducting regular safety audits and training programs as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of machinists and production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with production staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned with production goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience: 10 years of manufacturing experience in operations, including machining, industrial assembly, chemical processing, and material handling.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to read and understand blueprints, measure and gage parts using industry standard tools, and perform basic math skills.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with ADP and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working Conditions

The Machining Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring the ability to walk, sit, bend, turn, twist, and lift up to 40lbs. Ear and eye personal protection is required.
