Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team at WesternScott Fetzer. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively use shop packages, including manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts, to ensure efficient production.
  • Ensure that only calibrated gages and tools are used to maintain product quality.
  • Set up and operate multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing.
  • Sort and rework non-conforming parts as needed.
  • Follow safe working practices and report any unsafe conditions to supervisory personnel or the safety team.
  • Achieve efficiency targets and produce products to established quality standards.
  • Participate in SQCD Board meetings as scheduled.
  • Perform quality checks per WEOP0855 and associated Inspection Record (QF08120).
  • Request raw materials in a timely manner and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance according to released methods.
Requirements:
  • Basic computer knowledge is desired.
  • Ability to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and blueprints.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gages, and other inspection devices as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field.
