Machining Operations Manager

At WesternScott Fetzer, we are seeking a highly skilled Machining Supervisor A/L to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our machining areas, ensuring the highest quality products are produced while meeting production planning concepts and quality programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for the overall operations of machining areas, including primary and secondary machining, chemical processing for cleaning and plating production components, and material handling.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive positive change in all aspects of departments' operations.
- Manage and schedule personnel and activities of respective areas of responsibility.
- Implement and monitor productivity improvements, such as cycle time improvements and cost-cutting measures.
- Ensure all safety procedures and rules are followed and all safety issues are resolved.
- Coordinate manpower requirements to meet changing conditions.
- Oversee the proper procedures of shop orders, in-house inspections, operator inspections, nonconformance issues, and disposition of material and scrap.
- Ten years of manufacturing experience in operations, including machining, industrial assembly, chemical processing for cleaning and plating production components, and material handling activities.
- Five years of experience with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Associate degree in Sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred, or relevant experience.
