Job Title: Field Service Technician

Xylem is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing Xylem-Flygt products in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and pump end issues and repair/rebuild as necessary.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and service various products as directed.
  • Create an accurate and legible parts and repair list, manually or digitally, for assigned product.
  • Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
  • Assist customer and/or Xylem personnel with setting up pumping systems on customer job sites as needed.
  • Train new service or other shop personnel and customers, as needed, in service and/or other related standard work.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following EHS&S guidelines, policies, and best practices.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two-year technical training or equivalent preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience and/or formal training or combination of education and training.
  • Three to five years of equipment maintenance experience in wastewater collection or treatment systems.
Specialized Knowledge Required:
  • DOT Medical card preferred.
  • Certified electrician preferred.
Working Environment:

The working environment may be frequently outdoors, with weather extremities, use of PPE, exposures to hazardous material, loud noise, etc. The physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $26/hr. - $33/hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
