Apex Systems is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. This is a contract position with a pay range of $20-$23 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare standards and solutions for analysis
  • Analyze samples, including raw materials, in-process, and final products
  • Report results to production and record data
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Prepare COA (Certificate of Analysis) for customer shipments
  • Work closely with production, supervisors, and engineers

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of laboratory experience
  • High School Diploma (Degree in science field not required but a plus)
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts, nights (8:30 pm - 8:30 am), 2 on, 2 off, and every other weekend
  • Able to work independently
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed
  • Good housekeeping ethics and chemical hygiene

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office), spreadsheets
  • Experience with GC (Gas Chromatography) and LC (Liquid Chromatography)
  • Familiar with ChemStation software
  • Wet Chemistry (pH, conductivity, titrations, solids, etc.)
  • TOC, VOC, Viscosity
  • UV-Vis, IR, or ICP experience a plus
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 standard
