Position Overview: Our Fort Lauderdale office is expanding and is in search of a dedicated professional to take on the role of Technical Assistant within our Commercial Lines Division. This division focuses on providing comprehensive insurance solutions to business clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Account Executives and Producers by addressing service needs and updating client accounts.
  • Deliver exceptional support with a positive demeanor to enhance and maintain client relationships.
  • Facilitate various transactions within customer files as directed by team members.
  • Conduct rating calculations and provide quotations as needed.
  • Prepare necessary documentation such as certificates and evidence of property insurance.
  • Execute miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the team.
  • Monitor customer file suspense in accordance with agency protocols.
  • Compile and distribute transaction documents as required.
  • Ensure the team is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Engage in ongoing account development initiatives set forth by the agency.
  • Support the training of new employees as requested by leadership.
  • Leverage automation tools to enhance customer service and support underwriting efforts.
  • Maintain familiarity with all available Companies and Markets within the Agency.
  • Adhere to licensing and educational requirements while pursuing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer support role within Commercial Lines Insurance.
  • Possession of a 4-40 or 2-20 State of Florida Insurance License (to be obtained within 6 months).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.
  • Typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 50 WPM and accuracy.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive outlook.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AMS360 software is advantageous.
