Job Title: Driver Manager

Job Summary:

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Manager to join our team. As a Driver Manager, you will be responsible for directly managing the day-to-day work of drivers, ensuring they have a positive employee experience, and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage the day-to-day work of drivers, including professional, timely, and effective internal and external driver interactions.
  • Responsible for maintaining driver detention time, reviewing Lytx events, and coaching drivers accordingly.
  • Ensure the tracking of driver attendance, pay, status, etc., in Workday.
  • Provide ongoing direction and leadership to drivers to ensure excellent customer service, KPI achievement, and driver development.
  • Collaborate with others in the company to identify and implement creative solutions to improve driver retention.
  • Manage driver payroll and ensure drivers have quality time at home.
  • Ensure driver training is in compliance.

Requirements:

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain.
  • Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field.
  • Two (2) years or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, work location, market data, internal equity, and internal salary ranges.
