We are seeking a highly skilled Cancer Care Specialist to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payment of patient and payer accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, performing collection duties as needed
- Review reports, research, and resolve issues related to payment postings and account balances
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve insurance payment and billing errors
- Monitor and update delinquent accounts status, recommending accounts for collection or write-off as necessary
- Communicate with patients to secure past due balances, verify demographic and insurance information, and update records accordingly
- Answer patient payment, billing, and insurance questions, resolving complaints and providing excellent customer service
- Maintain credit balances for patients and payors, ensuring timely refunds in accordance with government guidelines and regulations
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum two (2) years combined medical billing and payment experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing
- Demonstrate knowledge of state and federal collections guidelines
