Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Specialist Sr. to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of patient and payer accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage delinquent accounts to ensure timely payment
  • Perform collection activities, including contacting patients and resolving billing issues
  • Review and resolve payment postings for accuracy
  • Work with colleagues to resolve insurance payment and billing errors
  • Recommend accounts for collection or write-off
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance providers, and update information in systems
  • Document conversations with patients and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years combined medical billing and payment experience required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing
  • Demonstrate knowledge of state and federal collections guidelines
Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.

Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
