Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the delivery of quality respiratory therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain established department policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
  • Set up and operate respiratory equipment, including ventilators, and administer respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Perform arterial puncture and arterial blood analysis, and obtain and document patient vital signs and equipment settings.
  • Provide instructions and education to patients, families, and staff on therapeutic procedures.
  • Assure delivery of quality respiratory therapy services and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct and assist with special procedures, including pulmonary function studies and bronchoscopy.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of respiratory therapy equipment.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in critical care required.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Texas Medical Board - Respiratory Care Practitioner certification.
  • NBRC certification CRT.
