Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Content Creator to join our team at World Central Kitchen. As a key member of our Communications team, you will be responsible for creating engaging multimedia content to tell our story and support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation:
    • Develop and produce high-quality multimedia content, including videos, audio clips, blogs, press releases, graphics, and social media posts, for various platforms.
    • Conduct research and provide editorial support to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and develop original content that aligns with our brand and messaging.
    • Organize and maintain a library of multimedia assets for easy retrieval and reuse.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for inbound communications from our audience, providing timely and accurate responses.
    • Maintain our Common Response Guide to ensure that information and FAQs are regularly updated.
  • Media Relations:
    • Monitor our press inbox and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist with press lists and outreach efforts to secure media coverage.
    • Develop content for media distribution and pitch stories to media outlets.
  • Event Production and Logistics:
    • Develop content for event promotion and marketing efforts.
    • Assist with the setup and logistics of virtual and in-person events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience, including previous editorial, digital, or journalism experience.
  • Proficiency in applicable software and computer applications, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience in web content management systems and Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of current events and differing cultures, with the ability to communicate sensitively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of World Central Kitchen.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including internationally, at short notice.
  • U.S. work authorization and a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Prior volunteer experience.
