POSITION SUMMARY

In the role of Automated Systems Specialist, you will: manage and operate all automated manufacturing systems and related equipment; conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks utilizing specific techniques and practices; collaborate with external vendors or contractors for equipment maintenance, repairs, or upgrades; oversee necessary maintenance for all machinery within your designated area; apply advanced troubleshooting skills to assist fellow technicians; ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times; initiate and conclude equipment operations; respond to urgent breakdowns as needed; employ preventive maintenance methods for both planned and unplanned requests; possess a comprehensive understanding of computer-controlled machine programming, including proficiency in PLCs and in-depth knowledge of programmable controllers; aid in the installation of new equipment and sub-assemblies and complete equipment refurbishments; utilize digital dashboards for fault analysis, trends, and reviews; and work in partnership with suppliers and other AE Manufacturing associates.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree in Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting with PLC interface/Programming required
  • Advanced software and hardware skills required
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Completion of NFPA 70E Training and maintenance of certification
  • NOCTI evaluation score of 70 or higher
  • Preventative machine maintenance experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus
