Key Responsibilities- Program Management: Manage and coordinate department programs in support of policy initiatives, ensuring conformance to standards and providing performance feedback.
- Information Dissemination: Manage and disseminate information from departments and other databases, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Capital Improvements: Assist in developing the Capital Improvements Program and Capital Budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Presentations and Communication: Prepare, facilitate, and deliver presentations to various stakeholders, including the Metropolitan Council Environment Committee, the Environmental Services Management Team, workshops, and public meetings.
- Project Delivery: Manage project delivery, project managers, and project goals, objectives, and outcomes, ensuring organizational consistency and direction.
- Quality Control: Develop and manage a quality control program for project designs, including design guidelines and facility information.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: Six (6) or more years of professional-level engineering experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory/management capacity.
- Licenses and Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota or a state with reciprocity.
- Quality Control Experience: Practiced quality control procedures in project design, delivery, and implementation.
- Engineering Evaluations: Completed at least two engineering (process or procedural) evaluations that contribute to the end user, the organization, and/or the engineering profession.
- Peer Review: Completed a technical peer review.
- Project Management Experience: Ten years or more experience as a project manager with MCES or engineering consulting working on water or wastewater projects.
- Design Guidelines: Contributed technically to design guidelines or guide specifications.
