Job Overview

AGC Acquisition LLC and Gar Kenyon Aerospace and Defense are divisions of the LOAR Group, co-located in Meriden, Connecticut. Our companies are AS9100D certified, FAA MRO certified, and NADCAP certified for various OEM and MRO operations. Job Responsibilities

The Director of Quality Assurance will be responsible for maintaining our site's Quality Management System (QMS) and overseeing all aspects of Quality Engineering and Product Inspection. This role is a direct report to the President of AGC/Gar Kenyon and works in a matrixed organization to support our overall goals.

  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities in a diverse product organization
  • Lead internal and external audit activities to ensure certifications and customer/supplier criteria are satisfied
  • Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Lead root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements
  • Coordinate periodic Management Reviews and monthly metrics for the organization
Qualifications

This position requires a four-year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business preferred) or a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing organization. Management of an Aerospace QMS is desired but not required.
