Position Title: Vehicle Lot Coordinator

Department: Service or Sales

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vehicle Lot Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt and inspection of newly delivered vehicles at the dealership. This role involves organizing and parking vehicles in the designated new-vehicle area in a systematic manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Verify serial numbers of incoming vehicles against the corresponding invoices.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any damages and confirm the presence of accessories as listed on the invoice.
  • Document any damages and missing items on the delivery receipt.
  • Park new vehicles in their assigned locations efficiently.
  • Manage and catalog vehicle keys.
  • Assign stock control numbers to each vehicle.
  • Reorganize sold vehicles to optimize space and maintain order in the lot.
  • Facilitate the delivery of sold vehicles to the preparation department.
  • Perform maintenance on vehicles in storage to prevent deterioration of tires, batteries, and finishes.
  • Assist the Service department by moving vehicles for customers to and from storage.
  • Report any safety or integrity concerns to management immediately.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including those related to meal and rest periods, timekeeping, and safeguarding customer information.
  • Complete all required HR training modules and certification courses pertinent to the position.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and notify management of any changes to its status.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance, including personal grooming and uniform standards.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence and effectively present information in small group settings.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

MATH SKILLS

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.

CERTIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid Driver's License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this position include the ability to lift and move objects weighing between 15-50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
