About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our team at Hollywood Casino Morgantown. As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our public areas, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep and vacuum carpets and floors, mop floors, dust and polish fixtures, furniture, and flooring, clean windows and doors, and wash and wipe down stairwells, baseboards, walls, waste cans, and other items as assigned.
  • Trash and Debris Removal: Remove trash cans and debris, and promptly attend to cleaning up spills or accidents or debris.
  • Guest and Staff Interactions: Conduct all guest and staff interactions in a pleasant and helpful manner, and be knowledgeable of and forthright with information about our property and services.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean working area at all times, and ensure that equipment and work materials are not left in an unsafe or unsightly manner.
Requirements
  • Less than 6 months of prior work experience.
  • Ability to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees and guests.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.).
  • Qualification for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meeting any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Physical Demands
  • Walking 40% of the time.
  • Standing 30% of the time.
  • Bending and lifting 30% of the time.
  • Climbing up heights in excess of 10 feet.
  • Lifting/moving maximum of 5 to 25 lbs.
  • Pushing and pulling carts and equipment up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment.
