Job Summary

Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for fabricating, laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiently use cutting torches and carbon arc gouge equipment.
  • Accurately read and use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
  • Read, understand, and work from blueprints and/or process sheets.
  • Display basic welding skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve in the welding trade.
  • Pass basic ASME certification tests within a given timeframe.
  • Adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Technical training from an accredited school or six (6) months of related welding experience.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. chest high on a regular basis. You will be required to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surfaces, and will need to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, and climb ladders up to 8 feet high. You will also be required to work in areas up to 15 feet from the ground and climb stairs.

You will be exposed to noise, dust, and dirt, welding fumes, and machine lubricants and/or oils. You must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and fall protection.
