Job Overview

Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for fabricating, laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting parts of structural metal products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently operate cutting torches and carbon arc gouge equipment.
  • Accurately use and read measuring devices such as tape measures and levels.
  • Read, understand, and work from blueprints and/or process sheets.
  • Display basic welding skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Pass basic ASME certification tests within a given timeframe.
  • Adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Technical training from an accredited school or six months of related welding experience.

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 60 pounds, work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surfaces, and regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, and climb ladders up to 8 feet high. The individual will also be required to work in areas up to 15 feet from the ground and access all areas of the plant both inside and outside.
