Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at Pennsy Supply, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment and machinery in our industrial plant. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Identify and diagnose problems with equipment and machinery, and implement repairs and maintenance to resolve issues.
- Monitor work area and surroundings during task completion and machinery operation to ensure safety and quality.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening and watching for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoist, cranes, and hand power tools.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using required tools.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, and placing and expediting orders.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintain continuity with management by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years' experience in industrial plant maintenance.
- One-year certificate or A.S. degree from a community college or technical school, i.e., electro-mechanical, metal fabrication, welding, etc.
- Basic computer skills.
