Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Fairmont, MN office. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a firm known for its commitment to professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze tax returns for various entities including 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
- Develop and review tax strategies.
- Manage monthly bookkeeping tasks.
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- Maintain payroll documentation.
- Prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements.
- Oversee client depreciation schedules.
- Stay informed on current tax regulations and software advancements.
- Foster client relationships by addressing accounting inquiries and providing outstanding service.
Work Schedule: The Staff Accountant is expected to work approximately 50-60 hours per week during peak tax season and 24-32 hours per week during the off-peak period.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or two to four years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA licensure.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software.
