Position Summary:

The Retail Technology division is in search of an inquisitive and proactive Business Analyst to join our expanding Retail Applications Group. This role will collaborate closely with the Retail, Rental, and Operations departments, providing essential support for technology across our numerous retail locations. The focus will be on a suite of Retail Applications, including ERP systems, reporting tools, and point-of-sale functionalities. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with various departments, including Merchandising, Operations, Warehousing, Accounting, and IT, to ensure the health of production systems and the implementation of vital IT enhancements.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about improving, developing, and implementing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and customer service best practices in a complex environment. This role necessitates adaptability across technical analysis, business analysis, and quality assurance disciplines. The successful candidate will contribute to the organization through technical expertise, process design, and collaboration with third-party development partners, enjoying both field troubleshooting and facilitating business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management:
    • Evaluate the severity and priority of production issues, assess business impact, and communicate resolution progress effectively.
    • Address issue tickets in accordance with ITIL practices across retail systems and server integration points.
    • Engage in proactive production monitoring and dashboard creation.
    • Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI, and DSR tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and Process Owner for multiple business and IT groups.
    • Utilize SQL and data monitoring tools to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Enhancement Delivery:
    • Identify and implement system enhancements to bolster stability and business operations.
    • Ensure all enhancement initiatives adhere to the SDLC process and maintain compliance documentation.
    • Develop test plans and scripts, document results, and coordinate the use of test environments as part of the QA Life Cycle.
    • Review requirements and test plan documentation for bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Foster strong relationships with third-party vendors, IT partners, and business stakeholders to support our production environment.
    • Manage business stakeholder backlogs for enhancements in line with SDLC practices.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT business analysis or production support, adhering to ITIL practices.
  • Proficient in resolving technical issues with quality customer support and clear communication.
  • Experience delivering system enhancements using SDLC methodologies.
  • Familiarity with MS Development Technologies, including PowerShell and SQL Server.
  • Prior experience with application ownership in relevant software.
  • Strong SQL and system diagramming capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical enhancements and application maintenance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems or Computer Science.

Preferred:

  • Experience in retail, outdoor industry, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with APTOS, MMS, or similar software applications.
  • Exposure to various database technologies.
  • Experience with analytics tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with work order systems.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework is a plus.
