Job Summary

Keke's Breakfast Cafe - Temple Terrace is seeking a highly skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee all kitchen functions, ensuring exceptional food quality, sanitation, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions and at least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement kitchen procedures to maintain quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness.
  • Train and coach kitchen personnel in cooking methods, preparation, plate presentation, portion control, and sanitation.
  • Ensure all food and products are prepared according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Recommend cook training, evaluate, and discipline kitchen personnel as necessary.
  • Provide orientation to new kitchen employees, company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and condition through personal inspection and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Control food cost and usage by overseeing proper preparation, standard recipes, and waste control procedures.
  • Make labor schedule recommendations based on business activity, ensuring all positions are staffed and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Enforce strict adherence to Food Handling Safety Procedures and maintain cleanliness and sanitation practices.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel and guests.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
  • Availability to work every day from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Minimum two years of management experience.
  • Minimum two years' experience in full-service or fast-casual restaurants.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to conform to all Keke's Breakfast Cafe dress code standards.
