The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT images for medical interpretation and administering therapeutic radioactive isotopes.

This role requires a strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles and procedures, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or a related field, as well as certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT). You will also need to obtain Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License prior to start date.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with patients and family members throughout the procedure and treatment process.
  • Enter patient information into database and use digital ordering system to order isotopes for procedures.
  • Communicate with patients, coworkers, and physicians through written and verbal communication.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and complete trainings for new procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field.
  • Certification as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
  • Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License prior to start date.
