**Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to work with our team at GPAC, a leading general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and preparing competitive bid proposals for various construction projects.

**Responsibilities**

* Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
* Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and review project data and pricing.
* Prepare and present accurate bid proposals, including material and labor costs, overhead, and profit margins.
* Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy.
* Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals, negotiate pricing, and select appropriate subcontractors for projects.
* Monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to update and refine estimating databases.
* Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project review sessions as required.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
* Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction, with a strong background in estimating and bidding processes.
* Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX).
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
* Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
