The ROI Medical Records Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting client sites with Release of Information (ROI) requests for patient medical records. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure accurate and timely processing of requests.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information and obtaining pertinent patient data from various sources.
- Answer phone calls and respond to walk-in customers regarding ROI issues.
- Process requests from physician offices and log information into the ROI On-Line database.
- Scan medical records into the ROI On-Line database and comply with site facility policies and regulations.
- Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
- Proficiency in using computer applications and one or more years of experience entering data into computer systems.
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals established by MRO.
- Strong verbal communication skills and success in responding to customer inquiries.
- Success in working in an environment that requires attention to detail and a proven track record of dependability.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
