Job Summary

Mission Linen Supply is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, and repair all systems and mechanisms on commercial vehicles to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions and recommend alternative methods for accomplishing vehicle preventive maintenance.
  • Tool Operation: Operate all tools and mechanisms associated with automotive repair.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Follow an effective preventive maintenance program for company vehicles and evaluate and recommend alternative methods for accomplishing vehicle preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Prior auto shop experience or trade school is preferred. A clean DMV record is required.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and in a team setting, and excellent problem-solving skills.
