**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Powertrain Systems Engineer to join our team at Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for calibrating and testing engine and electrified powertrain systems to ensure compliance with emissions, fuel economy, OBD, and drivability requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Test and analyze powertrain performance in real-world and vehicle test cell environments to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Verify OBD functionality in field and laboratory settings to ensure accurate data transmission.
  • Support software and calibration updates for prototype vehicles to ensure seamless integration with production intent powertrains.

**Key Duties:**

  • Calibrate and verify engine management systems for production intent powertrains to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage a test fleet of prototype vehicles with various powertrains to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Calibrate OBD functions for production intent applications to ensure accurate data transmission and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct electrified powertrain control system analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
  • Assist in field claims investigation and propose solutions to resolve customer issues.
  • Create and deliver technical reports and presentations to stakeholders to communicate system performance and optimization opportunities.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks to support team operations and ensure compliance with company policies.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in engine or electrified powertrain management systems.
  • Experience with xEV powertrains and machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in vehicle communication network systems and data acquisition tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office, ETAS Inca, MDA, and MATLAB software.
  • Ability to travel and work in harsh climates.
  • Valid Driver's License and eligibility to work in the U.S.

**Salary:** $90,000 - $125,000
