Position Summary
The Insurance Collector plays a crucial role in managing and recovering outstanding receivables from various insurance providers, government programs, and other responsible parties. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure timely follow-up and effective collection strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough reviews of accounts to assess patient eligibility for different insurance coverages.
• Analyze aged accounts to identify opportunities for appealing unpaid or underpaid claims.
• Execute additional related tasks as necessary to support the collection process.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience in healthcare claims processing and collections.
• Familiarity with Managed Care Contracts and their interpretation is preferred.
• Knowledge of UBO4 or HCFA 1500 claims and associated data elements.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills.
• Basic office skills and proficiency in computer usage are essential.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Position Details
• Working Title: Case Manager I
• Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
• Position Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
• Schedule: Alternative work week schedule-Mon-Thurs 7:30 am-5:00 pm & Fri 7:30 am-12:30 pm
• Additional Information: Assessment testing and background checks will be conducted post-offer.
