The specialist will oversee multiple concurrent oncology clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with established protocols and regulatory policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Study Coordination:** Manage and coordinate tasks for various oncology clinical research studies, acting as a liaison between departments and services.
2. **Data Management:** Oversee data collection, integrity, and reporting on study outcomes. Create and maintain comprehensive databases and datasets.
3. **Staff Management:** Coordinate work schedules for research staff, assist in training new team members, and support the Clinical Research Supervisor and PIs.
4. **Protocol Management:** Manage research protocols within the Committee on Human Research online system, including renewals and modifications.
5. **Compliance Assurance:** Ensure adherence to institutional review board approvals and compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.
6. **Quality Control:** Implement and maintain quality control procedures and financial tracking logs, understanding funding sources.
7. **Communication:** Regularly meet with investigators to discuss study progress and potential participant eligibility.
8. **Audit Participation:** Engage in internal and external audits or reviews of study protocols.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma with relevant experience in clinical research.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and familiarity with oncology settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Degree in a health-related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience in oncology clinical research.
- Certification from SoCRA or a similar professional body.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
