Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an independent research program in the treatment of myeloid and lymphoid malignancies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hematology and oncology, with experience in conducting basic science, translational, and clinical research. They will be expected to apply for peer-reviewed grant funding and/or have current funding to support their research program.

The candidate will also have a clinical presence, with approximately 25% clinical time. Applicants must have an MD (or equivalent), fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation and/or Cell Therapies, and be board certified or eligible in Hematology or Medical Oncology.

Requirements

  • MD (or equivalent) degree
  • Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology, Stem Cell Transplantation and/or Cell Therapies
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology or Medical Oncology
  • Experience in conducting basic science, translational, and clinical research
  • Ability to apply for peer-reviewed grant funding

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for early career scientists to build their research programs. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Adjunct series at a rank of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience.

The minimum base salary range for this position is $99,200-$181,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
