Job Summary

The University of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Urology Surgical Oncology department. As an Outpatient Oncology Clinical Nurse II, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care to an assigned adult Oncology outpatient population. This role requires a deep understanding of the cancer disease process, major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, therapeutic care and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals.

Responsibilities

- Provide direct patient care to an assigned adult Oncology outpatient population
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements

- Minimum six (6) years of recent RN Surgical Oncology nursing experience
- Minimum seven (7) years of total recent RN experience
- Minimum one (1) year of Urology Surgery experience
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience in surgical oncology nursing
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
