Position Summary:

Metric5 is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst with a strong background in Project Management and expertise in PeopleSoft. This role involves working within an Agile framework on a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product.

As a Business Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with the product owner, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to assess tasks and requests, ultimately crafting user stories complete with acceptance criteria. You will oversee the sprint backlog, lead sprint demonstrations, and engage in all significant program ceremonies. Your comfort in a customer-facing role within an Agile setting will be essential, as will your proactive approach to identifying risks and formulating solutions. The ideal candidate will interact directly with customers, developers, and other team members throughout the entire development lifecycle to implement enhancements to the application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product backlog and design artifacts using Jira and Confluence.
  • Lead sessions for requirements gathering and refinement to identify business, functional, and technical needs.
  • Facilitate the collection of user feedback and track relevant metrics.
  • Translate customer requirements into epics, features, and user stories.
  • Ensure requirements traceability and alignment of development with business objectives.
  • Conduct gap analysis.
  • Support business process modeling and human-centered design initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to clarify requirements.
  • Convert user stories into test cases and assist with QA/testing activities.
  • Support the organizational change strategy and develop artifacts for a seamless system rollout.
  • Create executive briefing materials and infographics/diagrams.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, including user guides, quick reference guides, learning videos, and instructor-led training.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and quarterly Agile ceremonies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT sector, focusing on requirements elicitation and user story development.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in Agile business analysis, product ownership, or management.
  • Familiarity with various Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean, DevOps).
  • Strong writing and communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in using requirements management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with functional and end-to-end testing, including manual test case execution and BDD test script creation.
  • Experience in providing end-user training.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • PeopleSoft Certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Technical acumen to connect technical concepts with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovative mindset – ability to learn and apply new tools and techniques to the program.

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

Clearance: Must be a United States Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance for this government position.
