Position Summary:
As a Residential Program Supervisor, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and actively participate in their communities. Your responsibilities will include fostering independence and enhancing the overall quality of life for the residents.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the individual planning process for each resident.
- Collaborate with care teams and facilitate meetings to ensure comprehensive support.
- Encourage participation in hobbies and recreational activities.
- Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking.
- Coordinate and attend medical appointments, including medication administration.
- Support the development of independent living skills.
- Provide education on safety, apartment maintenance, budgeting, and self-advocacy.
- Supervise a team of Direct Support Professionals.
- Train staff on health and support needs to promote independence.
- Manage staffing schedules to meet the support needs of residents.
- Work with the program manager on staff training and development.
Qualifications:
- A genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
- Must meet the qualifications for a Designated Coordinator.
Designated Coordinator Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of direct care experience.
- An associate degree in a relevant field and two years of direct care experience.
- A diploma in a relevant field and three years of direct care experience.
- A minimum of 50 hours of relevant education and four years of direct care experience under supervision.
