Purpose of the Role
The 1-2-1 Nursing Academic Coach will be responsible for providing tutoring services to peers in select biology and/or chemistry courses. This role is designed to support students in achieving academic success and developing essential skills for their future careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in comprehensive training to develop expertise in tutoring and academic support.
- Meet with students one-on-one or in small groups via Zoom or face-to-face to provide personalized support and guidance.
- Complete detailed session report forms in a timely manner to ensure accurate tracking of student progress.
- Communicate effectively with the Director of Academic Support and Engagement, instructors, and students to ensure seamless coordination and support.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in attending sessions and checking university email for important communications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in Daemen University's 1-2-1 Nursing Program.
- Must have been recommended by a faculty member in the program.
