Key Responsibilities- Teach a minimum of 36 credits per fiscal year, ensuring student engagement and awareness of course objectives through approach and evaluation techniques.
- Develop and implement a classroom environment conducive to student success, following established policies and processes in the Faculty Handbook.
- Communicate clear course objectives and expectations, empowering students to think critically about coursework and its applications.
- Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling, connecting students to resources for their success.
- Administer oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Participate in student-centered activities to promote a sense of community between students and faculty.
- Contribute to other administrative areas to support students, department, and institution, such as the Intrusive Advising Program and New Student Orientation.
- Graduate degree from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) required.
- Minimum of 15 or more credit hours earned directly in assigned subject area required.
- Masters required, Doctorate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of prior teaching/training experience in the content field or closely related field, preferably within higher education or in the healthcare field.
- Distance Learning/Online teaching experience in addition to on-ground experience is strongly preferred.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office 365 (or similar software) and videoconferencing software required.
