As a Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and management of commercial real estate financing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Loan Structuring and Monitoring: Collaborate with senior underwriting staff to structure, assess, and continuously monitor commercial real estate loans. This includes preparing comprehensive loan approval packages that encompass financial analysis, stress testing, collateral assessment, and risk identification and mitigation.
- Collaboration with Banking Professionals: Engage with commercial private bankers to review loan applications, ensuring the collection of updated financial data, compliance with covenants, and other pertinent information that affects borrower creditworthiness.
- Portfolio Reviews: Conduct annual and periodic evaluations of a designated portfolio of commercial real estate clients, ensuring timely and accurate identification of emerging risks and appropriate risk ratings.
- Audit Support: Provide expertise and support for internal and external audits, as well as regulatory examinations pertaining to the commercial real estate lending portfolio.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop junior team members, offering guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other projects and duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the team.
