Position Overview:
We are looking for a Project Engineer to oversee and deliver design services for engineering initiatives primarily based out of our West Chester, PA office, focusing on clean construction and environmental remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects within your area of expertise, assembling teams of internal technical staff and sub-consultants to ensure successful execution within established scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain rigorous safety, quality, and risk management protocols throughout project lifecycles.
- Take charge of site civil designs, demonstrating familiarity with stormwater management and the construction permitting process.
- Conduct sizing calculations for best management practice infrastructure.
- Develop construction specifications related to earthworks, site grading, and erosion control.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to meet project requirements effectively.
- Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs), define scopes of work, solicit vendor quotes, and assess technical merit.
- Oversee field teams for environmental sampling and provide engineering support during construction phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering with 2 to 8 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred, or the ability to obtain it within 1-2 years of employment.
- Active NCEES account with potential for gaining additional state licenses through reciprocity is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, capable of delivering technical presentations and engaging in client meetings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- U.S. citizenship with the willingness to obtain security clearance for work on Department of Defense sites.
- OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper, OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification, and CPR/First Aid Training are beneficial.
Additional Information:
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, primarily within the Philadelphia metro area, while spending the remaining time collaborating with teams in the office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is required.
