About the Opportunity

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our project management team in Philadelphia, PA. As a seasoned professional with a strong background in civil engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of precise construction drawings, ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take charge of engineering design processes and oversee the development of construction drawings
  • Provide essential support to regional SWCA offices by addressing engineering requirements and collaborating closely with teams
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across SWCA offices to optimize workload distribution and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budgetary constraints
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of project deliverables to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards
  • Actively contribute to Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes to uphold the highest levels of project integrity
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain via reciprocity
  • Proven prior work experience in one or more of the following states: Ohio, West Virginia, and New York
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience exceeding 10 years in civil engineering, with a specialization in civil/stormwater design
  • Additional Professional Engineer (PE) License in surrounding Pennsylvania states
  • Demonstrated prior experience in supporting the development of proposals, business development initiatives, and client management

An employee in this Philadelphia, PA-based position can expect a salary of $117,936.00 to $150,696.00/year. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
