Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of employees in the packaging of formulated products, ensuring all quality specifications are met in a safe and reliable manner.
  • Formulate raw materials into finished products that conform to all quality control standards.
  • Complete production sheets accurately and ensure the completion of production paperwork, batch sheets, and quality control paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify quality control issues and problems and report them to leadership.
  • Develop and implement run plans using processor manuals and train team members prior to a campaign.
  • Perform quality assurance tests, including pH, density, emulsion, Karl Fisher, particle size, wet screen, dry screen, and viscosity.
  • Perform formulator functions when required and other work-related duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three years of production/manufacturing experience is required.
  • Ability to use various types of packaging machinery to perform all functions on the packaging line.
  • Math skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English are required.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, stand for long periods of time in extreme hot and/or cold temperatures, and operate electronic controlled equipment.
  • Lift truck operator certification and ability to work over 40 hours as needed.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position is that of a typical plant environment where the noise level is usually moderate to loud. You will regularly work near moving equipment/mechanical parts and could be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations, and a risk of electrical shock.

This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
