Job Summary

Tarragon Property Services is seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Business Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Business Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Business Manager in supervising staff and managing the property in their absence.
  • Work closely with the Business Manager to develop an integral team that effectively sells the quality and professionalism of Tarragon Property Services.
  • Inspect property common areas, apartment units, and grounds on a regular basis and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collect and post all rent payments, charge deposits and move-in fees, and make daily community deposits.
  • Code and process community invoices, monitor and record paid invoices, and forward coded invoices to the Business Manager for approval.
  • Distribute non-payment notices to delinquent residents and complete follow-up activity.
  • Maintain a general working knowledge of state laws regarding collection of delinquent accounts.
  • Input daily resident information, maintain resident files, and update weekly property reports.
  • Assist the Business Manager in ensuring accurate completion of leases and addendums.
  • Support marketing efforts and provide input on promotions, advertisements, and rate increases.
  • Assist with leasing activities, maintain market knowledge, and analyze concerns associated with slow-to-lease apartments.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license, sound driving record, and auto insurance are required.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in property management software are preferred.
  • Business, hospitality, or property management experience is highly desirable.
