About the Role:

As a CBRE Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for working, repairing, and providing ongoing maintenance on various pieces of building equipment and systems. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, which provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, Assemble, Install, Maintain, and Repair Building Systems: Provide system support and knowledge to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct Routine Checks on Safety Devices: Identify and correct issues to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Track and Implement Technical Innovations and Developments: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Monitor Meters, Gauges, and Computerized Controls: Ensure accurate readings and adjust equipment as needed.
  • Document Relevant Events and Facts: Record maintenance and operation activities for future reference.
  • Apply In-Depth Knowledge of Standard Principles and Techniques: Provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Coach Others and Share Knowledge: Mentor colleagues and share expertise to improve team performance.
  • Lead by Example and Model Behaviors: Demonstrate CBRE's RISE values and work to build consensus.
  • Impact Customer, Operational, Project, or Service Activities: Work within broad guidelines and policies to achieve results.
  • Explain Difficult or Sensitive Information: Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads (50 lbs. or more).
  • Cognitive Abilities: Exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational Skills: Advanced inquisitive mindset and ability to prioritize tasks.
