Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Repair and replace equipment as needed, including HVAC controls and associated equipment
  • Assist in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generator systems
  • Inspect and test equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform manual duties as requested, such as moving supplies or furniture
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications

Requirements:

  • Three years of related experience and/or training
  • Engineering background in acute care hospital preferred
  • Journeyman level field service experience in industrial electrical and/or refrigeration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of medical gas distribution and alarm systems
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance and work order system
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Comfortable with heights and ladders
  • Comfortable in confined spaces
