Student Financial Services Coordinator

About the Role
Galen College of Nursing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Financial Service Specialist to join our team. As a Student Financial Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our students, ensuring they receive the financial assistance they need to succeed in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely financial aid information to students, including federal financial aid, state aid, and other forms of assistance.
- Assist students in completing financial aid applications and ensure all necessary documents are submitted in a timely manner.
- Review and process financial aid awards, ensuring students receive the maximum amount of aid they are eligible for.
- Support students in managing their financial aid, including creating payment plans and tracking term balances.
- Communicate with students and their families to provide guidance on financial aid options and ensure they understand their financial obligations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student interactions and financial aid information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with federal financial aid programs and customer financial accounts preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive student information.
