Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Support Specialist will be responsible for gathering raw materials, tools, and necessary supplies to assist production operators in their tasks.

These responsibilities are carried out throughout the day in accordance with established procedures.

This role will support operators in boosting their efficiency by eliminating non-value-added tasks and will report directly to the Team Leader.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Order all raw materials according to the production schedule for each designated cell.
  • Submit all tooling requests to meet the production schedule for each assigned cell.
  • Ensure all raw materials in work cells are properly labeled.
  • Assist in loading and unloading parts using Dynamics.
  • Conduct all required performance characteristic testing as mandated by customers.
  • Distribute appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), packaging, and supplies to each assigned cell.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety regulations while handling hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere and communicate any questions or issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Perform additional miscellaneous duties and related functions as necessary.

Work Environment/Physical/Environmental:

  • Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 60% of the workday.
  • Exposure to sharp parts, heavy tools, and varying temperature and humidity levels.
  • Moderate noise levels and limited use of hand and air tools; hearing protection is required.
  • Ability to distinguish between color variations.
  • Responsibilities are repetitive in nature.
  • Various chemicals are utilized in the production process.

Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to navigate Dynamics and perform production tasks using the software.
  • Capability to follow procedures for job duties, including ordering raw materials, submitting tooling requests, calibrating testing equipment, and conducting process verification and applicable testing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
