  1. Begin each day by setting up and organizing the kitchen station, ensuring all necessary ingredients are ready for service.
  2. Prepare a variety of dishes for lunch service, including sauces, soups, and entrees, transitioning smoothly from breakfast to lunch.
  3. Reorganize the kitchen line and serving area to optimize cooking and service efficiency during lunch hours.
  4. Cook and present all orders promptly as requested by the wait staff, ensuring that each dish meets quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
  5. Familiarize yourself with menu items, recipes, and preparation techniques to maintain consistency and quality.
  6. Store all food items in appropriate containers and maintain proper storage temperatures to ensure food safety.
  7. Prepare only the necessary amount of food in advance to maintain freshness and quality.
  8. Assist other kitchen departments by preparing food items that are best handled by this role.
  9. Prepare items for the next shift and for the following day as directed by the supervisor.
  10. Keep the kitchen area, including countertops, utensils, and equipment, clean and sanitary in compliance with health regulations.
  11. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills:

  1. Ability to prepare food items using standardized techniques.
  2. Proficient in using kitchen tools and equipment with precision.
  3. Capable of calculating ingredient amounts and understanding recipe measurements.
  4. Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 months of cooking experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel environment.
