Job Summary

This position will support all of UVA Health entities, including UVA Medical Center, UVA Physicians Group, UVA Community Medicine, and School of Medicine. The role will be responsible for sustaining improvements and changes made to scheduling tools, templates, and processes to provide better access to patients. The Access Operations Liaison will serve as a liaison between front-line Access and Clinic Operations, SOM Physicians and APPs, Capacity Management, Epic, and Quality and Standards teams to ensure consistency, effective communication, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve access goals and resolve issues
Provide feedback to management on means to achieve access goals and resolve issues
Facilitate discussions with clinical, access, and provider teams regarding perceived needs and processes, then translate those needs into recommendations
Support all team members in their learning and understanding of new scheduling functionality and associated workflows
Coordinate post-implementation review of project goals, outstanding questions or issues, and work with operational leaders as requested to help sustain goals
Provide intake and review for changes and new projects to ensure alignment with standards; escalate using appropriate pathways when needed
Pull data and monitor trends

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associate's Degree required
Experience: 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred
License/Certification: n/a

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
