Overview:
This role involves supporting the management of daily operations, which includes various responsibilities such as facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating the point of sale system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, and providing guest relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration of all point of sale application updates and requirements related to green fee sales, merchandise transactions, and member/guest billing.
  • Reconcile daily tee sheets, conduct check-ins, and process payments from members and guests.
  • Address discrepancies related to duplicate charges and payment variations. Monitor all force posts and no-show charges as necessary.
  • Assist with outside operations tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of lesson plans and deliver both individual and group instruction.
  • Ensure the golf shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Prepare for golf events by coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
  • Adhere to established opening and closing protocols.
  • Implement safe work practices in all job functions.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a PGA Golf Management Program or relevant Associate Education.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Active PGA/LPGA Membership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English is essential for effective communication with customers and colleagues, as well as for understanding equipment manuals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with computerized point of sale and tee time systems.
