Experience Requirements:

  • Possession of IT certifications and/or a degree, or actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science
  • Demonstrated stable employment history, preferably in military, service industry, or security roles
  • Aiming to enter the field of computer science to acquire entry-level work experience

Job Responsibilities:

The position entails monitoring, analyzing, and responding to alerts and issues that are vital for law enforcement operations. Responsibilities will span various sectors within the organization. The individual will oversee enterprise technology, WAN, business-critical applications, and essential infrastructure processes. Utilizing both proprietary and third-party tools, the monitoring specialist will evaluate each issue and engage in escalation procedures while coordinating with on-call teams.

Key Duties Include:

  • Utilizing monitoring tools and processes to ensure prompt analysis and response to alerts and issues
  • Addressing all alerts and issues as per established escalation procedures and standard operating protocols
  • Effectively communicating the nature of issues and responding according to defined processes
  • Documenting all issues, tracking current statuses, open and pending items, and preparing reports for incoming teams
  • Collaborating with technology teams to develop and refine monitoring documentation and processes
  • Engaging with external partners involved in the escalation process
  • Executing scripted checks and processes to troubleshoot and resolve issues
